Warm wood floors without the upkeep: Kaindl laminate

Wood floors make a bedroom or office feel warm and quiet. Kaindl laminate, made in Austria, gives you the look and feel of real wood grain at a fraction of the care.

What you are walking on

Kaindl boards have a printed wood design under a tough wear layer, with a surface texture that follows the grain. The boards are 1383 mm long and 7 to 8 mm thick, in wide planks of 193 mm, or 244 mm for Oak Ferrara Ashmond.

Popular designs

Oak Siena: a warm honey oak with an antique texture. Oak Tortona: pale, sandy oak with long streaks. Oak Ferrara Ashmond: a cool grey oak. Walnut Limana: rich mixed walnut tones.

Where it works best

Bedrooms, living rooms, offices and hotel rooms. Laminate is laid as a floating floor over Kaindl underlay, so it goes down quickly over a flat, dry screed. Keep it out of bathrooms and wet areas; use a wood-look tile there instead.
